Milky Mushrooms & Peas Sabzi

Serves - 1-2 people

Cooking time - 25 mins


250g Milky Mushroom 

¾ cup green peas

½ cup chopped onion

1/3 cup chopped tomatoes

1 tbsp chopped green chillies

½ tbsp ginger paste

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp chilli powder

A handful of chopped coriander leaves

2 tbsp ghee

Salt to taste


  • Clean any remaining dirt off the mushrooms with a damp towel and dice them.
  • Heat a tbsp of ghee in a pot.
  • Add mushrooms and fry on high heat until slightly golden. Once done keep them aside.
  • Heat a tbsp of ghee in that same pot. Temper cumin seeds.
  • Add onions and fry until golden.
  • Add green chillies and tomatoes. Fry with a pinch of salt until tomatoes soften.
  • Add ginger paste and mix well
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder. Fry for 45secs then add ¼ cup of water. Add salt, mix and cook the masala for couple of mins.

  • Put the fried mushroom and the green peas in the pot. Mix and add ½ cup water. Mix again and simmer until 80% of the water dries out.
  • Add a handful of chopped coriander and give it a final mix.
  • Serve with hot Roti or rice.
