Also known as natural cancer-fighters, Portobellos are protectors of the immune system and contain natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. They are larger, earthier, mature versions of the commonly-eaten button mushroom.
Known for their deep smoky, earthy flavour and meaty texture, portobello are best suited for sautéing, broiling, and grilling and pair well with goat's cheese for a flavourful salad.
All you need to do is soak them in lukewarm water for 30 minutes and they're ready for your pan! Store them in a cool, dry place and they can last up to a whole year!
