Oyster ka Halwa

A sweet surprise your guests will rave about! Perfect for those wanting a fresh take on classic halwa!

Ingredients:

  • 400g Oyster mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Milk/ Mylk of your choice
  • 1/3 cup Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Almonds & Cashews (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup Khoya (optional)

 

 

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, add a tablespoon of ghee and roast the nuts. Once they get a bit of colour to them, add another tablespoon of ghee and drop in the mushrooms.
  2. Sauté the mushrooms in ghee until they’re cooked and fragrant.





  3. Add milk and cook until the mushrooms absorb it and thicken.
  4. Stir in sugar, cardamom powder and the roasted nuts, cook till glossy.





  5. Fold in khoya for extra richness.
  6. Garnish with more almonds & cashews and serve warm and with love!
