A sweet surprise your guests will rave about! Perfect for those wanting a fresh take on classic halwa!
Ingredients:
- 400g Oyster mushrooms (finely chopped)
- 1 cup Milk/ Mylk of your choice
- 1/3 cup Jaggery
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1/4 cup Almonds & Cashews (chopped)
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1/4 cup Khoya (optional)
Instructions:
- In a pan, add a tablespoon of ghee and roast the nuts. Once they get a bit of colour to them, add another tablespoon of ghee and drop in the mushrooms.
- Sauté the mushrooms in ghee until they’re cooked and fragrant.
- Add milk and cook until the mushrooms absorb it and thicken.
- Stir in sugar, cardamom powder and the roasted nuts, cook till glossy.
- Fold in khoya for extra richness.
- Garnish with more almonds & cashews and serve warm and with love!
